Trial Technology

Our computer graphics and audio-visual evidence preparation and presentation facility houses the most sophisticated equipment available to help us create easy-to-understand courtroom exhibits.

For instance, in addition to using three-dimensional anatomical models, we frequently develop computer animations that simulate a surgical procedure.

To demonstrate at trial how our clients injuries occurred and could have been prevented, we routinely create highly-detailed, scale models of accident sites and equipment.

We also maintain an extensive medical library and have a registered nurse on staff.

Margaret ObertsMargaret Oberts works as a legal nurse consultant for Jeffrey M. Goldberg Law Offices. Ms. Oberts attended Loyola University and completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing, summa cum laude. She later received her master’s degree from DePaul University.

Her nursing experience includes labor and delivery, intensive care and emergency room nursing. Prior to working at Jeffrey M. Goldberg Law Offices, Ms. Oberts worked as a risk manager at Rush University Medical Center and as a senior risk consultant for Zurich Insurance.

Her background and clinical experience assist her in her duties, which include: providing initial case screenings for merit; preparing medical record review and research; identifying and retaining authoritative medical/nursing experts and assisting the firm’s attorneys with medical malpractice trial preparation. She has also given presentations about risk analysis and liability at many medical and nursing seminars.

She is a member of the Illinois Nurse’s Association, the International Honor Society of Nursing, and the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants.
